Description For Senior Software Engineer Specialist

Wellhub (formerly Gympass) is a corporate wellness platform connecting employees to fitness, mindfulness, therapy, nutrition, and sleep partners. Founded in 2012 and headquartered in NYC, we have a global team in 11 countries. We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer Specialist for our Tagus | BASE Team in Portugal.

The Tagus team builds the core of Wellhub's business model, focusing on scalability, high availability, and flexibility. Key challenges include creating a system with flexible commercial conditions and managing critical flows like subscriptions.

As a Senior Software Engineer Specialist, you'll:

  • Design, develop, and improve highly scalable services
  • Build integrations among services and tools
  • Support and enhance existing systems
  • Work in a collaborative, agile environment
  • Use cutting-edge technologies on a global scale

We're looking for an experienced backend engineer skilled in:

  • Architecting large-scale web applications
  • Programming languages like Go, Java, Kotlin, Scala, Python (Go expertise is a plus)
  • Cloud-based architectures (AWS and GCP)
  • Developing RESTful web services
  • SQL/NoSQL technologies
  • Strong communication skills and advanced English
