Software Engineer | GenAI

Wellhub (formerly Gympass) is hiring a Software Engineer for their GenAI team in Brazil. This remote position focuses on generative AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), LLMs fine-tuning, and API integrations.

The GenAI team leverages advanced AI technologies to personalize user experiences, streamline operations, and optimize resources. They act as a hub for innovation, enabling Wellhub to harness the full potential of generative AI across multiple domains.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement generative AI-based applications
• Work with large language models (LLMs) to create innovative solutions
• Develop and optimize RAG systems to enhance AI model performance
• Implement robust data retrieval mechanisms
• Design and develop secure, scalable APIs for AI models and services
• Ensure seamless integration with other software systems (e.g., WhatsApp, Slack, Teams, Google Chat)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts effectively

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field
• Strong skills in programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, C or C++
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL technologies (e.g., OpenSearch, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL)
• API development and integration experience
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills in English and Portuguese
• Ability to work on high scalable and distributed projects
• Fast learner, adaptable to new technologies
• Passionate about building reliable MVPs and pilots quickly

Preferred Qualifications:

• PhD in relevant field
• Experience with generative AI frameworks (e.g., Haystack, Langchain, LlamaIndex, HuggingFace, Ollama, AWS Bedrock)
• Knowledge of RAG and related technologies
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Knowledge of data engineering and ETL processes
• Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries
• Understanding of NLP and computer vision
• Experience with Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
