Description For Quantitative Software Engineer (Executive Director)

Wells Fargo is seeking a Quantitative Software Engineer at the Executive Director level to join their Investment Portfolio team. This role focuses on implementing financial models including interest rate, mortgage prepayment and default, derivative valuation, hedging, and horizon forecast models. The position requires expertise in software engineering and DevOps best practices to enhance and streamline library development and CI/CD workflow. The role involves working with the Wells Fargo Investment Portfolio (IP) which manages the Company's Available-For-Sale (AFS) and Held-To-Maturity (HTM) securities and loan portfolios. This is a senior technical position that combines financial domain knowledge with advanced software engineering skills.   • Work constructively in collaboration with business, model development, model validation, and IT

Requirements For Quantitative Software Engineer (Executive Director)

Python
  • 7+ years of Securities Quantitative Analytics experience
  • Master's degree or higher in quantitative discipline (preferred)
  • 2+ years hands on programming experience in C++17 and Python 3
  • 4+ years of buy-or sell-side quantitative analytics library software development experience
  • 4+ years of DevOps concepts, specifically in CI/CD
  • Experience with CMake
  • Experience in software development cycle and agile technologies
  • Experience with asynchronous event driven or reactive programming architectures
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
