Description For Quality Engineer

Whisper Aero, a leader in air propulsion technology, is seeking a Quality Engineer passionate about parts, supply chain, and manufacturing. As a Quality Engineer in our manufacturing team, you will play a critical role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. You'll develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols, collaborate with production teams and suppliers, and lead activities to enable customer deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enforce quality standards, procedures, and control plans
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts in manufacturing processes
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet quality requirements
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare quality performance reports

Responsibilities For Quality Engineer

  • Develop and enforce quality standards, procedures, and control plans

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare quality performance reports

Requirements For Quality Engineer

  • US Citizenship / Green Card Status
  • Bachelor's of Science Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, or 8 years related experience in lieu of degree
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in Quality Engineering or Supplier Quality Engineering
  • 5+ years' experience with high volume manufacturing & assembly engineering of complex products
  • Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures
  • Experience with the project management of technical projects
  • 2+ years of experience performing internal and/or supplier audits
  • 2+ years' experience with quality tools such as 8D, DOE, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC etc.
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office, ERP, and PLM software
  • Demonstrated experience with business and technical communication
  • Proficient in ISO9001 and AS9100 requirements
