Description For Information Security Engineer

WHOOP is seeking an Information Security Engineer to join their team, reporting to the Lead Security Engineer. In this role, you will design, implement, administer, and monitor security measures to protect WHOOP systems, networks, and data from security threats. Success requires continuous learning and adaptation to guard against ever-evolving security threats.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with IT, GRC, and other teams to reduce organizational risk
  • Developing and maintaining security procedures, controls, and automations
  • Conducting regular security assessments and vulnerability testing
  • Participating in incident response efforts
  • Contributing to a culture of security awareness
  • Staying updated on emerging security trends and technologies
  • Implementing and improving security tools and processes
  • Participating in an on-call rotation for 24/7 critical incident support

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in Information Security or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with various security technologies
  • Experience securing cloud environments
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills

Responsibilities For Information Security Engineer

Requirements For Information Security Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in an Information Security, IT Security, or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with security technologies (EDR, DLP, SIEM, IDP/SSO, MDM, security automation tools)
  • Experience with securing cloud environments (IaaS/PaaS) and/or SaaS business platforms
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong documentation skills and ability to track work in ticket systems
