Description For Senior Hardware Quality Engineer (Accessories)

WHOOP, a company dedicated to unlocking human performance, is seeking a Senior Hardware Quality Engineer for their Accessories division in Boston. This role is integral to ensuring all accessory products meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The position involves collaboration with WHOOP Apparel & Accessories, Hardware Engineering, and Supply Chain & Operations teams.

The ideal candidate will bring 5-7 years of experience in accessory product quality within consumer electronics or medical industries, along with advanced engineering degrees. They must possess Six Sigma Green Belt certification and be ASQ Certified Quality Engineer. The role demands expertise in quality management systems, statistical analysis, and strong communication skills.

Key responsibilities include risk assessment execution, quality program management, test protocol definition, and establishing quality management systems. The position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge wearable technology while ensuring the highest standards of product quality.

Responsibilities For Senior Hardware Quality Engineer (Accessories)

  • Organize and assist with the execution of risk assessment on equipment, GR&R, assembly process, and customer use case
  • Represent quality and report status and risk mitigation in Accessory Program Reviews
  • Partner with peer teams to drive data-driven risk mitigation/strategy
  • Define Accessory quality deliverables and deliver in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Manage Accessory quality program schedule and engagement planning
  • Work with REL Quality Engineering to define test protocols for accessory products
  • Coordinate with external labs and regulatory bodies for certification requirements
  • Facilitate and lead root cause analysis using quality tools
  • Establish Whoop QMS system and drive essential processes and quality plans
  • Develop quality control plans and partner with local Accessory SQE
  • Support sustaining product quality activities

Requirements For Senior Hardware Quality Engineer (Accessories)

  • Advanced degree(s) in Engineering, Mechanical, or Material
  • Technical knowledge in accessories materials/components and Mechanical in wearable electronics
  • Minimum 5-7 years in Accessory product quality role in Consumer electronics and/or wellness/fitness, High-Tech, Medical industries
  • Six Sigma Green Belt
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
  • Familiar with ISO 9001 Quality Management System Standards
  • Experienced in statistical data analysis
