Description For Signal Processing Engineer II

As a Signal Processing Engineer II at WHOOP, you'll be part of a cross-functional team working on core, fundamental features. Your role will involve solving complex technical problems related to obtaining physiological information from noisy sensor data and enhancing diagnostic tools and control methodologies.

You'll collaborate closely with Data Science and Research teams to develop innovative algorithms, monitor their performance across a diverse user population, and validate wearable technology in clinical settings. Your responsibilities will include software development, debugging, and validation, as well as contributing to ongoing research efforts to improve product performance.

This role requires expertise in signal processing, time-series analysis, and machine learning, with a focus on biosensor systems and biomedical data analysis. You'll create and implement mathematical models and algorithms for processing big data and extracting valuable insights.

Responsibilities For Signal Processing Engineer II

  • Collaborate with Data Science and Research teams to enhance user metrics by developing innovative algorithms

Requirements For Signal Processing Engineer II

Python
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in applied mathematics, statistics, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of industry or research experience in signal processing and/or machine learning
  • Strong experience with biosensor systems and analyzing biomedical data
  • Proficiency in C and/or Python programming languages
  • Knowledge of adaptive signal processing and time-series analysis
  • Solid understanding of statistical methods and experience in designing clinical studies
  • Familiarity with machine learning libraries (scikit-learn, Tensorflow, PyTorch, Keras, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to think innovatively and adapt to changing requirements
