Android Engineer Intern (M/F)

At the heart of our connected health ecosystem, the Healthmate application is a star product of Withings. Divided into universes allowing users to visualize their data (sports activity, sleep, weight, blood pressure, heart health...), our application helps more than a million users improve their health every day.

We are looking for an Android intern who is passionate about modern app development technologies. Our technical stack includes Kotlin, MVVM, Compose, Compose Navigation, Flow and Coroutines, as well as Hilt/Dagger dependency injection frameworks. The successful candidate will work on challenging and innovative projects with an experienced and dynamic team.

Capable of communicating with more than twenty connected objects via Bluetooth, BLE, and Wifi, it presents numerous technical challenges for our teams.

As an intern in the Android team, you will:

• Design and develop new features in collaboration with the Product team (Design, Product Management, Mobile, Software Quality Assurance)
• Establish data transmission and transformation chains with Platform, Data Science, and Embedded Software teams
• Perform unit and UI test sets, ensure a high level of code quality, participate in code reviews...
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of existing features, tools, and processes

• The mobile team includes 16 experienced developers and continues to grow

• Development cycles are short and agile (stand-ups, sprints, retrospectives)
• New developments are done in Kotlin with MVVM and MVI architecture
• Merge requests are made via Gitlab, continuous integration is ensured by GitlabCI

• Our crash-free user rate is always above 99%
• Our ongoing projects: breaking down the application into modules, migrating legacy code to Kotlin, and redesigning the design system with Jetpack Compose
