We're seeking a talented software developer with an investigative mindset and eagerness to tackle challenging problems. This role involves collaborating with researchers, portfolio managers, data strategists, operations, and engineering teams to ensure the smooth functioning of our data generation platform and guarantee the integrity of our datasets.

As a software developer at WorldQuant, you'll:

• Enhance the reliability and operability of our data generation pipeline in a high-velocity environment
• Solve both business and technical problems related to data structure, quality, and availability
• Maintain and improve business logic in code
• Facilitate the migration of legacy code to our new data platform

We're looking for candidates with:

• A B.Sc. or higher degree in Computer Science or a closely related field
• Fluency in one or more major programming languages like Python or C++ (knowledge of Perl is a plus)
• An investigative mindset and curiosity to dive into complex issues, find root causes, and implement solutions
• Experience with the Unix platform and toolset (bash, git, regex)
• A positive, team-focused attitude and strong work ethic
• At least 1 year of industry experience (financial services industry experience is a plus)
• Good English communication skills, both oral and written
