Description For Entry-Level Solar System Design Engineer

Wunder is a Modern Energy Company on a mission to address the climate crisis by accelerating solar energy deployment. We help businesses, municipalities, and schools save money with clean on-site power, convert warehouses into electrified industrial platforms, and enable commercial real estate firms to benefit from solar across their properties. With over $1 billion in solar assets under management, we've evaluated more than 10,000 properties across all 50 states.

We're seeking a detail-oriented engineer to join our project development team. You'll be a key contributor to in-house development engineering, creating and reviewing designs, using systems like Helioscope and AutoCAD, conducting site visits, and collaborating on interconnection processes. This role goes beyond traditional engineering by bringing standardization to the untapped sub-megawatt commercial and industrial market using Wunder's industry-leading technology platform.

The ideal candidate has 1-2+ years of experience in solar system design or relevant field, is collaborative, technically proficient, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You should be flexible, quick to respond, and believe that no problem is too hard to solve.

Wunder offers a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary and equity, 100% employer-paid health insurance, 401k matching, parental leave, and unlimited PTO. Our culture emphasizes work-life balance, with opportunities for professional development and team building activities.

Join us in Boulder or Denver, CO, and be part of a team that's making a real impact on the planet while enjoying a supportive, inclusive work environment.
