Software Engineer 2

The Software Engineer 2 position at Wyetech, LLC is a challenging role focused on developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex and diverse software systems. This includes processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems.

The role is part of a collaborative team developing several analytics, with a focus on cloud analytics, large scale analytics, and analytic programming languages. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong understanding of these areas, joining a production team developing foundational identity intelligence analytics.

Key responsibilities include:

• Analyzing user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
• Designing and coding new software or modifying existing software to add new features
• Debugging existing software and correcting defects
• Integrating existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
• Developing data queries for databases or data repositories
• Providing recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
• Developing and implementing algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards
• Assisting with developing and executing test procedures for software components
• Writing or reviewing software and system documentation
• Serving as a team lead and overseeing software development teams

The position requires a TS/SCI clearance with Agency Appropriate Polygraph, 14 years of experience as a Software Engineer in similar programs, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent experience). The role also demands significant cloud experience, including work with distributed scalable Big Data Stores, Map Reduce programming model, Hadoop Distributed File System, and Serialization.
