Description For Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE)

Wyetech is seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to join their team in supporting federal government customers. This role offers an opportunity to work at the forefront of cybersecurity, implementing and maintaining critical security systems for government projects.

The position requires a high level of expertise in security engineering, with a focus on DoD RMF system accreditation processes and security implementation. Responsibilities For Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE)

  • Create and review authorization documentation for federal and DoD policy compliance
  • Implement DoD RMF system accreditation processes
  • Assess operational risk of integrated software components
  • Use vulnerability management systems and security scanning tools
  • Provide security planning, assessment, and risk analysis
  • Guide development team in meeting security posture requirements
  • Support enforcement of trusted relationships among external systems
  • Design and implement secure networking and computing environments

Requirements For Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE)

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • 9+ years of experience as an ISSE with Bachelors OR 7 years with Masters OR 13 years with High School Diploma
  • DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level II certification
  • Experience with DISA STIGs and SRGs
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and services
  • Experience implementing DoD system accreditation processes
