Wyetech is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their DevOps team in Annapolis Junction, MD. This role focuses on designing and maintaining distributed Metrics and Monitoring solutions for HPC systems. The position requires extensive experience in software development, with emphasis on DevOps practices and tools. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in Python, Linux, and various DevOps tools including Ansible, GitLab CI, and Splunk. Responsibilities For Software Engineer 3
- Design, develop, test, deploy, document, and maintain complex software systems
- Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements
- Develop and implement algorithms for system performance
- Lead software development teams
- Coordinate software installation and monitor performance
- Design and develop relational and non-relational database applications
- Develop event-driven or data-driven analytics
- Implement cloud-based solutions
- Ensure quality control of all developed software
- Collaborate with system engineers and hardware engineers
Requirements For Software Engineer 3
- TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly
- US Citizenship
- Master's degree in computer science + 5 years experience OR
- Bachelor's degree in computer science + 7 years experience OR
- 9 years of experience as a SWE
- Experience using the Linux CLI
- Experience developing Bash scripts
- Recent software development experience using Python
- Experience with Splunk
- Experience with Log Management tools
- Experience with IaC principles and Ansible
- Experience with CI/CD principles and GitLab CI
- Experience with Git Source Control System
