Full Stack Engineer - Human Data Team

In this role, you'll build end-to-end features across the stack, develop monitoring systems for large-scale data collections, and create innovative data generation methods. You'll work closely with the post-training and AI tutor teams to accelerate research progress in model capabilities, evaluation, safety, and alignment.

The ideal candidate brings experience in delivering high-quality web applications in dynamic environments, has collaborated in cross-functional teams, and understands the connection between machine learning model behavior and data quality. Experience with fine-tuning large language models is a plus.

The tech stack includes TypeScript, Python, Rust for programming languages, and React, Express, and PostgreSQL for the application framework. Based in the Bay Area, this role offers a competitive salary range of $180,000 - $440,000 USD.

The interview process is thorough but efficient, typically completed within a week. It includes a phone screening followed by four technical interviews: a coding assessment, HTML/CSS evaluation, systems hands-on session, and a team presentation of your past work and vision.
