Product Data Engineer

xAI is seeking a Product Data Engineer to join their team. The role involves leveraging xAI's models and algorithms to create a new generation of delightful consumer products and experiences, scaling them out to millions of users worldwide. The ideal candidate should have expertise in data curation, filtering, and cleaning for large language and multimodal models, experience with large-scale human annotation, familiarity with crafting consumer app data flywheels, rigor in identifying product direction from usage data, and a passion for making delightful consumer products with cutting-edge technology.

xAI operates with a flat organizational structure, encouraging all employees to be hands-on and contribute directly to the company's mission. The team is small, highly motivated, and focused on engineering excellence. Engineers are expected to work across multiple areas of the company and share the title "Member of Technical Staff."

The interview process consists of an initial application review, a 15-minute phone interview, and four technical interviews: a coding assessment, a systems hands-on demonstration, a project deep-dive presentation, and a meet-and-greet with the wider team.
