Server Deployment Engineer

xAI is seeking a Server Deployment Engineer to join their mission of creating AI systems that understand the universe and aid humanity. This full-time, onsite role is based at the Memphis data center, working alongside Site Operations engineers. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data center server hardware and system software, with a eagerness to expand their expertise in server deployment and optimization.

Key responsibilities include:

• Executing comprehensive server testing, integration, and provisioning
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting system faults
• Maintaining high throughput of compute and storage hardware intake
• Developing and optimizing automation tools
• Collaborating with vendors and internal teams

The role requires at least 3 years of hands-on experience with server hardware and infrastructure. Preferred skills include expertise in Linux/Unix, scripting languages like Python or Bash, networking knowledge, advanced troubleshooting skills, and strong communication abilities.
