Xcellink Pte Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced AIX Engineer L2 to join their team. This role focuses on providing Level 2 support for IBM AIX operating systems and related technologies, ensuring the stability and performance of critical systems. The position requires expertise in virtualization technologies including SR-IOV, SEA, PowerVM Virtual I/O Server (VIOS), HACMP, and Spectrum Scale (GPFS).
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing complex AIX environments, performing system administration tasks, and ensuring optimal system performance. They will be involved in disaster recovery support, security implementation, and documentation maintenance. Responsibilities For Infrastructure Engineer - IBM AIX
- Provide Level 2 support for IBM AIX operating systems and related technologies
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues on IBM AIX systems
- Perform system administration tasks such as installation, configuration, and maintenance of AIX servers
- Monitor system performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance
- Perform disaster recovery support and testing on IBM AIX systems
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate AIX systems into the overall IT infrastructure
- Develop and maintain documentation related to AIX systems and configurations
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to critical incidents in a timely manner
- Identify and implement security measures to protect AIX systems from potential threats
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in AIX and related technologies
Requirements For Infrastructure Engineer - IBM AIX
- Proven experience in managing complex AIX environments
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant certifications, such as IBM Certified Specialist - Power Systems or IBM Certified Advanced Technical Expert - Power Systems, are a plus
