Senior Security Engineer - GCP

Xero is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join their team focused on uplifting and governing Cloud Platforms, with a focus on GCP. The role involves hands-on problem-solving at scale in the GCP environment, building resilient and scalable systems, and automating security services. The ideal candidate will have experience with GCP, IAM, Compute, Networking, Cloud Storage, and Databases. They should have a background in Security Engineering, understand network and system administration, and be willing to write code in Python and other scripting languages. The role includes participating in a 24/7 on-call roster, coaching and mentoring other engineers, and working collaboratively in an agile environment.
