Application Engineer, Tube Bending

Xometry (NASDAQ: XMTR) is seeking an experienced Application Engineer with expertise in Tube Bending to join their team. This role is responsible for customer quoting, supplier sourcing, and project management, with a focus on being the subject matter expert in tube bending and fabrication. The ideal candidate will have strong competencies in CAD, design for manufacturability, costing, technical communication, and technical aptitude in hydraulic tubing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide cost estimates for manually quoted tube bending, tube cutting, and metal fabrication products
• Assist the Partner Network team in identifying and developing a partner base
• Offer pricing recommendations based on previous win rates with part types, industries, and customers
• Understand partner capabilities, identify gaps, and guide the sales team on opportunity types
• Liaise with the auto quote team to implement capabilities based on manual quote inquiries

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering highly preferred
• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with tube bending, cutting, and fabrication
• Minimum 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with vendors, employees, and the public
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, Word, and Google Docs
