Xometry (NASDAQ: XMTR) is seeking an experienced senior-level Data Engineer to join their Supplier Services team. This role is crucial in connecting businesses with over 500,000 suppliers for industrial sourcing needs. The position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, energetic environment, contributing to a rapidly growing part of Xometry's business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, code, test, and release functionality as part of a software development team
- Collaborate closely with engineers and product managers in an autonomous, cross-functional team
- Take operational responsibility for team-owned services, including potential on-call rotation
- Assemble data sets meeting business requirements
- Build analytics models for actionable insights into key business metrics
- Maintain and modify data pipelines as needed
- Work with stakeholders to address data-related issues and support data needs
- Develop data models for analytics and data science team members
- Design and develop data transformation programs using Python and other languages
- Create software for automating database object updates
- Develop deployment and release functionality to support DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Develop automated tests for software deployment issues
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a software or data engineer in a fast-paced, technical environment
- Experience with cloud data warehouses (Redshift/Snowflake)
- Event tracking experience (Segment, Tealium)
- Knowledge of data modeling (Relational, Dimensional, 3NF, Data Vault)
- Proficiency in SQL, JSON, and XML querying
- Familiarity with AWS data ecosystem (RDS, DMS, S3, Athena, Kinesis)
- Programming skills in Python, JavaScript
- Experience with DevOps/Site Reliability practices
- API knowledge (REST, GraphQL)
- Understanding of web application architectures
