Description For Senior DevSecOps Engineer

Xometry (NASDAQ: XMTR) is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to play a critical role in embedding security into every stage of the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps or related fields, with a strong understanding of cloud platforms, security automation, and secure coding practices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with development, operations, and security teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline
  • Designing and implementing security automation tools and processes
  • Developing and enforcing security policies and best practices
  • Monitoring and analyzing security vulnerabilities and incidents
  • Performing regular security assessments and code reviews
  • Implementing and managing security tools
  • Leading efforts to secure Kubernetes clusters and containerized environments
  • Managing infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Automating security tasks using Python and shell scripting
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest security threats and technologies

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, or related field
  • Experience with AWS or deep fluency in GCP or Azure
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools and integrating security tools into pipelines
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and securing clusters
  • Strong programming skills in Python and shell scripting
  • Knowledge of security best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
