Xometry (NASDAQ: XMTR) is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to play a critical role in embedding security into every stage of the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps or related fields, with a strong understanding of cloud platforms, security automation, and secure coding practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with development, operations, and security teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline
- Designing and implementing security automation tools and processes
- Developing and enforcing security policies and best practices
- Monitoring and analyzing security vulnerabilities and incidents
- Performing regular security assessments and code reviews
- Implementing and managing security tools
- Securing Kubernetes clusters and containerized environments
- Managing infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform
- Automating security tasks using Python and shell scripting
- Staying up-to-date with the latest security threats and technologies
- Participating in incident response and disaster recovery planning
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, or related field
- Experience with AWS or deep fluency in GCP or Azure
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools and integrating security tools
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and securing clusters
- Strong programming skills in Python and shell scripting
- Knowledge of security best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Must be a US Citizen or legal permanent resident
Preferred qualifications include experience in security architecture, knowledge of JavaScript security, relevant certifications (CISSP, Security+, AWS Certified Security), and a bachelor's degree in a related field.
