Senior Security Engineer

Xometry (NASDAQ: XMTR) is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to play a critical role in embedding security into every stage of the software development lifecycle. This position requires a strong background in DevSecOps, network security, and security architecture. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps or related fields, with a deep understanding of cloud platforms, security automation, and secure coding practices.

Key responsibilities include:

• Integrating security into the CI/CD pipeline
• Designing and implementing security automation tools
• Developing and enforcing security policies
• Monitoring and analyzing security vulnerabilities
• Performing regular security assessments
• Implementing and managing security tools
• Ensuring secure coding practices
• Securing Kubernetes clusters and containerized environments
• Managing infrastructure as code (IaC)
• Automating security tasks using Python and shell scripting
• Staying current with the latest security threats and technologies
• Participating in incident response and disaster recovery planning

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, or related field
• Experience with AWS or deep fluency in GCP or Azure
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools and integrating security tools
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
• Proficiency with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Strong programming skills in Python and shell scripting
• Knowledge of security best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Must be a US Citizen or legal permanent resident

Preferred qualifications include experience in security architecture, knowledge of JavaScript security, relevant certifications, and a bachelor's degree in a related field.
