Xometry (NASDAQ: XMTR) is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to play a critical role in embedding security into every stage of the software development lifecycle. This position requires a strong background in DevSecOps, network security, and security architecture. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps or related fields, with a deep understanding of cloud platforms, security automation, and secure coding practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Integrating security into the CI/CD pipeline
- Designing and implementing security automation tools
- Developing and enforcing security policies
- Monitoring and analyzing security vulnerabilities
- Performing regular security assessments
- Implementing and managing security tools
- Ensuring secure coding practices
- Securing Kubernetes clusters and containerized environments
- Managing infrastructure as code (IaC)
- Automating security tasks using Python and shell scripting
- Staying current with the latest security threats and technologies
- Participating in incident response and disaster recovery planning
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, or related field
- Experience with AWS or deep fluency in GCP or Azure
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools and integrating security tools
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
- Proficiency with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Strong programming skills in Python and shell scripting
- Knowledge of security best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Must be a US Citizen or legal permanent resident
Preferred qualifications include experience in security architecture, knowledge of JavaScript security, relevant certifications, and a bachelor's degree in a related field.
