Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack

Xometry (NASDAQ: XMTR) is seeking a senior-level full stack software engineer to join their software engineering organization. As part of a skilled, collaborative team, you'll evolve their instant-quote product and the technology platform behind it. This role is ideal for someone who wants to be part of a small, intensely skilled team with total ownership of their work and a passion for learning and coding. You'll play a crucial role in the Xometry platform, where everything you do will matter. This is a 1-year contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Design, code, test, and release software
• Read, write, and review code in HTML, Typescript/Javascript/React, Python, and Rust
• Collaborate closely with other engineers and product managers
• Take operational responsibility for team-owned services, including deploying to AWS and Kubernetes environments
• Participate in an on-call rotation
• Work in an environment that supports individual growth

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced technical, problem-solving environment as a software developer
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and DOM web programming
• Demonstrated experience in at least two of React, Python, and Rust
• Experience with software engineering principles related to security, scalability, asynchronous programming, and transactions
• Attention to detail, good work ethic, ability to multitask, and strong communication skills

Desired Skills:

• Experience with build and testing technologies (Git/Github actions, GitLab)
• Knowledge of service-oriented architectures and ability to lead in defining and implementing service strategies
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including understanding of normalization/denormalization, constraints, transactions, replication, and sharding
