Senior Software Engineer - React + Node

We are looking for a senior-level full stack software engineer to join our software engineering organization. You'll be working as part of a skilled, collaborative team to evolve our instant-quote product and the technology platform behind it. You want to be part of a small, intensely skilled team, who feel total ownership of their work, and can't imagine a day without learning & coding. You will play a crucial role in the Xometry platform and everything you do will matter. This is a 1-year contract.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, coding, testing, and releasing software
• Reading, writing, and reviewing code written in HTML, Typescript/Javascript/React, Node, and GraphQL
• Close collaboration with other engineers and product managers
• Operational responsibility for team-owned services, including deploying services into AWS and Kubernetes environment
• Participating in an on-call rotation
• Working in an environment that supports individual growth

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced technical, problem-solving environment as a software developer
• Demonstrable understanding of software engineering fundamentals
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, DOM web programming
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience in React, Node, and GraphQL
• Experience with software engineering principles related to security, scalability, asynchronous programming, and transactions
• Attention to detail, good work ethic, ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and good communication skills

Desired Skills:

• Experience with build and testing technologies (Git/Github actions, GitLab)
• Knowledge of service-oriented architectures
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
