Description For Sr. Manufacturing Applications Engineer, Tube Bending & Tube Cutting

Xometry (NASDAQ: XMTR) is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with expertise in Tube Bending and Tube Cutting. The Manufacturing Applications Engineer will provide manufacturing expertise for customer quoting, manufacturing engineering, operations, and project management. They will support Xometry's Product Development, Partner Network, Applications Engineering, and Manufacturing Operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for tube bending, tube cutting, and metal fabrication products, as well as other manufacturing technologies
  • Assist the Product Development team with auto-quoting for tube bending, cutting, and metal fabrication
  • Help the Partner Network team identify and develop a partner base
  • Guide and train the sales team on pursuing opportunities based on Xometry's capabilities
  • Offer pricing recommendations to the Applications Engineering team for manually-quoted projects

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with tube bending, cutting, and fabrication
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering highly preferred
  • Proficiency in CAD and knowledge of design for manufacturability
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
