DevOps Engineer

Yassir is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join their Cloud Operations squad. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building high-performance, scalable, mission-critical, and secure systems in the cloud. The role involves driving the evolution of major parts of Yassir's growing platform, serving millions of customers across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building and maintaining scalable systems using technologies like Kubernetes in GCP cloud environment
• Improving CI/CD processes and increasing automation
• Handling incidents and supporting engineering teams with infrastructure needs
• Developing infrastructure as code
• Introducing processes, documentation, and best practices to improve productivity
• Automating deployment and scaling processes
• Continuously improving infrastructure for efficiency and cost reduction

Required experience:

• At least 3 years in a similar role with large-scale, distributed infrastructure in the cloud
• Strong Linux administration and scripting skills (Bash, Python, TypeScript)
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proficiency in configuration management tools (Terraform, CDK for Terraform, Pulumi)
• Cloud infrastructure experience, especially in GCP
• CI/CD process knowledge
• Experience with Node.js or Python
• Understanding of network protocols and security best practices
• Familiarity with various database models
