Information Security Engineer, YouTube Main App (Android)

YouTube, a Google company, is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer to join their YouTube Main App (Android) team. This role is part of a newly formed mobile Security Team for YouTube native apps, focusing on maintaining the highest levels of security for billions of users worldwide.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on security for one of the world's most popular mobile applications, covering a suite of 14 Android and iOS apps including YouTube Main, Creator Studio, Kids, YTTV, Producer, and Embeds SDK. You'll collaborate closely with Google Information Security Engineering using a federated security team model.

As a Security Engineer, you'll be responsible for protecting network boundaries, hardening systems against attacks, and safeguarding sensitive user data. The role combines hands-on technical work with strategic security planning, requiring expertise in Android security, vulnerability assessment, and secure system design.

Key responsibilities include performing security reviews, developing secure protocols, implementing testing frameworks, and responding to security incidents. You'll need to demonstrate strong coding abilities, experience with mobile app development, and deep knowledge of security principles.
