Responsibilities For Senior Security Engineer, YouTube
- Direct security reviews and engage with upcoming products to identify security risks and design them out
- Conduct and guide threat modeling for YouTube products and features
- Review and develop secure operational practices, and provide security guidance for engineers and support staff
- Respond to vulnerabilities with mitigations and hardening
- Create strategy for memory safety at YouTube
- Explore foundational/Large Language Model (LLM) models for identifying security gaps in product areas
Requirements For Senior Security Engineer, YouTube
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of experience with security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling
- 5 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security and security protocols
- 5 years of experience in coding in one or more languages
- 1 year of experience leading teams in technical capacity or leading technical risk analysis
- Preferred: Security certifications (OSCP, GIAC, GSEC, GPEN, GWAPT)
- Preferred: Experience with information security incident and threat assessments
- Preferred: Knowledge of full software stack from devices to backend systems
