Senior Software Engineer, YouTube

YouTube is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in Bengaluru, India. This role is part of Google's broader mission to develop next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another.

As a Senior Software Engineer at YouTube, you'll be working on projects that go well beyond web search, handling information at massive scale. You'll have the opportunity to bring fresh ideas from various areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design, and mobile development.

In this role, you'll be expected to:

• Write and test product or system development code
• Lead or participate in design reviews with peers and stakeholders
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback
• Contribute to documentation and educational content
• Triage and resolve product or system issues

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 5 years of experience with software development and data structures/algorithms
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products
• 1 year of experience with software design and architecture

Preferred qualifications include a Master's or PhD in Computer Science, experience in a technical leadership role, and experience developing accessible technologies.
