Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager II, Infrastructure Resource Management, YouTube

  • Lead complex projects by working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate with cross-functional partners
  • Analyze usage trends and partner with engineers to estimate and acquire resources for feature launches
  • Become a subject-matter-expert and consultant on technical and financial trade-offs in data-center resource management
  • Provide supply-chain and infrastructure teams with a rolling 18-month forecast that aligns to budget endorsements
  • Partner with YouTube resource management engineering to design and build tooling to help scale the planning process
  • Triage resource-requests to fund new launches, system-migrations, and infrastructure projects while maintaining appropriate supply buffers
  • Ideate efficiency opportunities to scale resources sublinear to demand growth and efficiency opportunities/ideas to reduce growth
  • Manage reserves policy and processes to meet annual goals
  • Identify excess supply to divest to central infrastructure teams
