Description For Technical Program Manager II, Infrastructure Software Engineering, YouTube

At YouTube, we believe that everyone deserves to have a voice, and that the world is a better place when we listen, share, and build community through our stories. We work together to give everyone the power to share their story, explore what they love, and connect with one another in the process. Working at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and boundless creativity, we move at the speed of culture with a shared goal to show people the world.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs. You'll work on massive distributed, large-scale systems, storage solutions, applications and entirely new platforms. Your responsibilities include managing technology programs, defining milestones and success criteria, resource allocation, and successful on-time delivery.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent practical experience) and at least 2 years of experience managing projects. You should have experience in Program Management on technical cross-functional projects and experience building, automating, and developing large-scale distributed systems from the ground up.

Join us at YouTube, where we explore new ideas, solve real problems, and have fun — and we do it all together.
