Responsibilities For Site Reliability Engineer

  • Develop and maintain software to automate and support infrastructure operations
  • Explore and evaluate solutions to meet business needs
  • Limit system downtime by defining and enforcing operations standards
  • Perform regular maintenance and monitoring for cloud infrastructure
  • Monitor application performance and service-level indicators
  • Respond to high-severity site reliability issues
  • Implement and enforce infrastructure and application security controls
  • Define, document, and enforce cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices
  • Develop and train Site Reliability Engineers
  • Monitor and steward infrastructure costs
  • Interact with product vendors for solutions and contracts

Requirements For Site Reliability Engineer

Kubernetes
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Systematic and organized approach to completing assignments
  • Ability to explain complicated processes simply
  • Self-motivated with problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of related work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science preferred
  • Professional certifications in cloud engineering preferred
