QA Engineer (Core) - Automation

As a QA Engineer (Core) - Automation at Zeal Group, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting functional testing of components and end-to-end
• Building and maintaining distributed test environments
• Keeping test documentation (in Gherkin) up to date and well-formed
• Ensuring the quality of deliverables
• Participating in sprint planning to ensure quality of requirements
• Communicating with the team (developers, devOps, QA Engineers)
• Performing any activity required to guarantee quality

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance
• Interest in "gray box testing", exploratory testing, and static testing
• Excellent analytical skills to identify areas for improvement
• Experience in Agile methodologies and working across multiple squads/teams
• Experience with requirements analysis, defect tracking, and test reporting

Skills:

• Understanding of software development life cycle and main types of testing
• Knowledge of main software testing methodologies
• SQL proficiency
• English language skills (at least at the level of reading technical documentation)

Additional skills that would be beneficial:

• Understanding of client-server communication (HTTP)
• Experience in testing backend (API/ Message brokers)
• Experience with sniffers (Charles, Fiddler)
• Experience with preparing, configuring, and deploying test environments
