Zeeco, a global leader in combustion and environmental solutions, is seeking an Instrument and Controls Engineer for their Vapor Division in Milan, Italy. This role combines technical expertise with business acumen, focusing on the design and implementation of control systems for industrial applications.

The position offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in combustion and environmental solutions, specifically focusing on vapor division products. Based in Zeeco's Lissone office in the Milan area, the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of assigned projects, ensuring quality deliverables while maintaining budget controls.

Key aspects of the role include developing control systems documentation, from P&ID drawings to control narratives, managing technical specifications, and coordinating with various departments to ensure project success. The position requires both technical expertise and project management skills, with opportunities for international travel for customer support and system commissioning.

Responsibilities For Instrument and Controls Engineer - Vapor

  • Review project engineering and sales packages to determine scope of supply
  • Review customer specifications and implement for 'AS SOLD' equipment
  • Develop P&ID drawings with project, sales and process engineers
  • Develop Control Narrative and Cause & Effect diagram
  • Develop data sheets and hook-ups drawings for instruments and valves
  • Develop and review drawings for control panels and power distribution systems
  • Prepare and review cable BOMs, routing plans and schedules
  • Prepare RFQ and coordinate with Procurement Department
  • Support PM in budget review and control
  • Perform equipment inspection and testing
  • Assist with commissioning and attend technical meetings

Requirements For Instrument and Controls Engineer - Vapor

  • B.S. degree or Masters Degree in Engineering (Instruments, Automation, Electrical)
  • Three years related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Personal computer skills
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Business acumen and commercial decision-making skills
  • Results driven with commitment to perform
