Structural/Civil Engineer

Zeeco is seeking a Structural/Civil Engineer to join their Thermal Oxidizer Division. This role involves designing various pieces of combustion equipment, including pressure vessels, stacks, and piping. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural design and engineering principles.

Key responsibilities include:

• Structural and mechanical design of vessels, stacks, piping, and various structural elements
• Reviewing project specifications to determine applicable design codes and requirements
• Calculating and organizing design reports for customer approval
• Estimating steel thickness and weights
• Optimizing structural designs

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Architectural) and 5+ years of experience in Structural Design. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and the ability to interpret specifications.

• Pressure Vessel Design (ASME Section I and VIII)
• Steel Stacks (ASME STS-1)
• Wind and Seismic Codes (ASCE and International)
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Pipe Stress (ASME B31.1 and B31.3)
• Steel Design (AISC and International)
• Visual Basic
• Drafting Software (AutoCAD 3D, Inventor, SolidWorks, etc.)
• Structural Design Software (COMPRESS, STAAD Pro, CAESAR II, Ansys, etc.)
