Responsibilities For Thermal Design Engineer - WHRB
- Perform thermal design and sizing of boilers, waste heat boilers, fired heaters, and heat exchangers
- Conduct circulation analysis, metal temperature calculations, and pressure drop calculations
- Size piping, ducting, and fuel lines according to codes and standards
- Select appropriate materials based on process conditions
- Create boiler data sheets, process flow diagrams, and P&IDs
- Prepare and submit engineering documents to regulatory authorities
- Perform sizing calculations for bought-out items
- Develop specifications and evaluate technical offers from vendors
- Collaborate during technical meetings and HAZOP reviews
- Provide resolution for site-related issues during erection and commissioning
Requirements For Thermal Design Engineer - WHRB
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline
- Expertise in thermal analysis, circulation analysis, and pressure drop calculations
- Proficiency in PFD, P&ID creation, and process data preparation
- Knowledge of materials selection for varied process conditions
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Excellent communication skills for client and vendor interaction
- Experience in thermal design and engineering of boilers, heat exchangers
- Familiarity with industry codes (ASME, IBR, EN, TEMA, API)
- Experience in technical evaluations and vendor management
