Zeotap, a next-generation Customer Data Platform, is seeking a Software Engineer - Backend to join their team in Bengaluru, India. They are expanding their SAAS product suite, the Customer Intelligence Platform, which integrates customer data collection, ID resolution, predictive analytics, audience management, and activation.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable and fault-tolerant products, exploring new technologies, handling customer issues, and acting as a consultant to internal stakeholders.
Requirements include 1-3 years of experience in building high-scale solutions, expert coding skills in Java, Scala, or Go, strong problem-solving abilities, and knowledge of data access patterns, noSQL databases, and distributed systems. Experience with Apache Spark, queueing systems like Kafka, and REST web app frameworks is highly valued.

Responsibilities For Software Engineer - Backend
- Design, develop and implement products and modules considering aspects of performance, scalability and fault tolerance
- Explore and operationalise new technology in Zeotap
- Handle escalations and customer issues from time to time
- Behave as a consultant to internal stakeholders and help design creative solutions for customers
- Work on diverse technologies including Business Logic, Big data and Web Applications and Event Processing
- Adapt and use emerging technology
- Take complete responsibility of the feature/module
- Adhere to Zeotap's company, privacy and information security policies and procedures
- Complete all the awareness training assigned on time
Requirements For Software Engineer - Backend
- 1-3 years of experience in building and deploying high scale solutions
- Expert coding skills in one or more of Java, Scala, Go
- High level and low level design skills
- Very good problem solving skills and clear fundamentals on DS and algorithms
- Good knowledge of data access patterns with caching technologies and OLTP DBs
- Deep understanding of any noSQL databases
- Basic knowledge of distributed systems and design
- Hands-on with Queueing systems like Kafka, RMQ etc
- Experience with any REST web app frameworks
- Bachelor or Master's degree in information systems, computer science or other related fields is preferred
