Senior Software Development Engineer - Backend

As a Senior Software Development Engineer - Backend at Zeta, you'll play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining server-side applications. This position requires extensive experience in backend technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and mentor junior team members.

Key responsibilities include:

• Spearheading scalable server-side application implementation
• Designing and optimizing database schemas
• Developing robust RESTful or GraphQL APIs
• Mentoring junior and mid-level engineers
• Optimizing backend system performance
• Implementing security solutions
• Ensuring high availability and reliability of services
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Working with cloud platforms and microservices architecture

We're looking for candidates with:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in engineering (computer science, information systems)
• 5-8 years of experience building enterprise systems
• Strong OOP skills (Java preferred but not mandatory)
• Experience with distributed systems and scaling
• Ability to influence architecture and design decisions
• Research and evaluation skills for new technologies
