Senior Database Engineer

As a Senior Database Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance database systems. You'll work with SQL, Azure, and CosmosDB to ensure data integrity, optimize performance, and support cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Database Management: Design, implement, and maintain database systems for high performance, availability, and security.
• SQL Expertise: Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
• Azure & CosmosDB: Manage databases hosted on Azure and work with CosmosDB for scalable solutions.
• Performance Tuning: Conduct query optimization and monitor database systems.
• Backup and Recovery: Implement and maintain database backup and recovery processes.
• Collaboration & Support: Work with development and infrastructure teams on database-related activities.
• Documentation & Standards: Maintain comprehensive documentation and adhere to best practices.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure databases are compliant and secure, working with information security teams.
• Cloud and DevOps Integration: Integrate databases into CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments.

You'll bring:

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a Database Engineer
• Strong proficiency in SQL
• Experience with Azure and CosmosDB
• PostgreSQL or MySQL experience (huge plus)
• DevOps and infrastructure experience (huge plus)
• Entity Framework knowledge

Pay Range: $135,000 - $162,000 USD
