Senior Software Engineer

Join Zip's Technology function as a Senior Software Engineer, working on high-impact projects to transform key products in the Spend & Loyalty squad. You'll be part of a team responsible for building and maintaining seamless, secure, and sustainable platforms that enable customers to shop with confidence and merchant partners to grow their brands.

In this role, you'll work with the latest tech to solve complex, interesting challenges at scale. The position requires expertise in Java or Kotlin, with openness to working with React. You'll be involved in enhancing existing features and building new ones, backed by a tight-knit team.

Key responsibilities include building reliable and scalable initiatives across Zip's Spend & Loyalty systems, ensuring solutions balance delivery and quality, and working cross-functionally to integrate with broader Zip services such as Fraud, Accounts, and Core Product.

The ideal candidate will have experience with microservices, event-driven architectures (ideally with Kafka), and relational databases like SQL Server or PostgreSQL. You should also have experience in solution design and delivery, and exposure to frontend technologies like React.
