Senior Software Engineer

Join Zip's Technology function as a Senior Software Engineer, where you'll be responsible for building and maintaining seamless, secure, and sustainable platforms that enable customers to shop with confidence and merchant partners to grow their brands.

You'll be part of the Spend & Loyalty squad, working with the latest tech to solve complex, interesting challenges at scale. Your role will involve transforming key products as we upgrade our spend and loyalty products, including single-use cards, subscriptions, rewards, bills, product insurance, and gift-cards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working alongside product to build reliable and scalable initiatives across Zip's Spend & Loyalty systems
• Ensuring solutions balance delivery and quality
• Working cross-functionally to integrate with broader Zip services such as Fraud, Accounts, and Core Product

We're looking for someone with:

• Technical expertise in Java or Kotlin (required)
• Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures, ideally with Kafka
• Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL
• Experience with solution design and delivery
• Exposure to working with FE technologies like React
• A love for sharing knowledge and mentoring team members
• An aptitude for identifying and managing risks
