Senior / Staff Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

As a Senior / Staff Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at Zip, you'll be an early member of the Cloud Infrastructure pod, focused on driving the company's cloud-native engineering strategy. Your role will involve architecting Zip's cloud native AWS infrastructure for reliability, scalability, security, and efficiency. You'll work on developing and managing EKS-based Kubernetes, utilizing tools such as ArgoCD, Flux, Helm charts, and Terraform. You'll lead and ship large technical projects, such as transforming services into multi-cluster and multi-region architecture, and support Zip's product engineering teams by abstracting infrastructure complexity through a managed services approach.

Key responsibilities include:

• Architecting cloud native AWS infrastructure
• Developing and managing EKS-based Kubernetes
• Leading large technical projects
• Supporting product engineering teams

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical field
• 5+ years of cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or SRE experience
• 3+ years of expertise with AWS and Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD, multi-cluster/region/account infrastructure, AWS & Kubernetes networking, and Infrastructure as Code
