Software Engineer, AI Lab

As a Software Engineer in the AI Lab team at Zip, you'll be at the forefront of embedding AI across all products, including AI document extraction, AI assistant, AI risk detection, and AI intake automation. This role offers the opportunity to build new AI use cases leveraging machine learning and GenAI technologies, working closely with cross-functional teams to ship thoughtful solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing new AI use cases using machine learning and GenAI technologies
• Collaborating with product and customer-facing teams to understand requirements
• Designing and building highly reliable and resilient products and features
• Writing high-quality, extensible, and maintainable code

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of software engineering experience
• BS or higher in Computer Science or related technical field
• Experience building Machine Learning and AI applications in production
• Familiarity with LLM and GenAI concepts and use cases
• Experience with web application and API development (Python, JavaScript, React, GraphQL)
• Knowledge of industry-standard build, test, and deploy tools
