Responsibilities For Wordpress & Shopify Developer
- Work on multiple client projects for multiple teams
- Develop new user-facing features
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Develop and maintain both WordPress and Shopify themes within best practices
- Utilize proficient knowledge of custom Shopify theme development and Liquid templating language
- Code pages as close to 'pixel perfect' as possible
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
- Take ownership of projects and optimization
- Communicate clearly and openly with all team members
- Utilize creative problem solving to provide solutions and explanations for challenges
- Develop and build out responsive emails and email templates
- Manage project tasks, timelines, and communication
- Perform routine site maintenance as needed
Requirements For Wordpress & Shopify Developer

- 3+ years of relevant work experience as a front-end developer
- Advanced understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
- Proficient understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as SASS
- Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
- Proficient in WordPress theme development, database management, error handling, Custom Post Types, Advanced Custom Fields
- Proficient knowledge of custom Shopify theme development and the Liquid templating language
- Experience building custom designs with page builders like Elementor and Webflow
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
- Proficient knowledge of task runners like Gulp and Grunt
- Basic understanding of PHP and MySQL
- Basic knowledge of image authoring tools for cropping, resizing, or performing small adjustments on images
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Good understanding of technical SEO principles
- Experience using third-party APIs for dynamic integrations
- Basic understanding of back-end services/servers and persistent storage
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks like React and Angular is a plus
