The position involves significant responsibility for component design and release, specifically focusing on chassis components and active chassis systems. You'll be working with tier-one suppliers to develop and release components while meeting crucial targets for cost, weight, timing, and performance. As a member of the Chassis Actuator Engineering team, you'll be responsible for creating detailed documentation, including requirements, specifications, failure mode analysis, and technical drawings. Responsibilities For Chassis Engineer, Actuators

  • Design prototype hardware and electromechanical systems in CATIA V6
  • Generate 2D drawing packages for fabrication and assembly
  • Evaluate static, dynamic, structural, and thermal-mechanical performances of mechanical assemblies
  • Collaborate with suppliers to manage designs and execute engineering disciplines
  • Track and execute design validation plans, review and develop FMEAs
  • Collaborate with different teams for manufacturing, assembly, and robot bring up

Requirements For Chassis Engineer, Actuators

  • BS in mechanical engineering with 5+ years of experience in vehicle engineering
  • Understanding of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and system architecture
  • Experience in testing and vehicle development
  • Knowledge of automotive program development/release process
  • Proficiency with CATIA V5 or V6 CAD software
