Senior Compute Test Engineer

Zoox is seeking a Senior Compute Test Engineer to join their team in San Carlos, CA. This role is crucial for building test solutions for manufacturing the compute platform used in Zoox's autonomous vehicles. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing tests for critical components of the compute system, including server-grade computer assemblies, custom PCIe devices, and other PC components such as storage and memory.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building and releasing test solutions for manufacturing lines at Zoox and contract manufacturing partners
• Developing testing scripts and code to verify functionality, control test instruments, and analyze results
• Working cross-functionally to implement correct test coverage across all phases of manufacturing
• Releasing updated test programs for new generations of hardware and software
• Supporting test and validation of prototype designs
• Establishing best practices for improving test deployment, runtime, and yield

The ideal candidate should have:

• BS in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, physics, or equivalent technical degree
• 8+ years of industry experience
• Strong knowledge of python and shell scripting
• Experience with Linux platform and debugging using command-line tools
• Expertise in testing complex electronic assemblies and PCIe devices
