Description For Senior / Staff Verification and Validation Engineer

In this role at Zoox, you will lead the overall HW and FW verification and validation strategies from component up to the vehicle level. Your responsibilities include bringing together various verification initiatives, ensuring verification happens as far upstream as possible, setting up the right assets and test cases, and properly documenting and communicating results.

You'll need extensive experience in complex vehicle systems, team management, and delivering results on tight timelines. You'll collaborate with engineering leaders across hardware, software, infrastructure, procurement, finance, vehicle engineering, and various suppliers to develop project schedules, identify milestones, flag risks, estimate budgets, and communicate progress to the executive team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Owning the end-to-end verification and validation strategy
  • Developing and aligning vehicle validation plans with component and system DV plans
  • Reporting vehicle attribute status in executive and program meetings
  • Supporting attribute teams with issue resolution and tracking
  • Aligning deliverables with company milestones and resource allocation
  • Leading cross-functional sharing of attribute data
  • Balancing attributes and providing resolution recommendations
  • Supporting the refinement of vehicle attribute requirements
  • Providing day-to-day leadership and building the organization
  • Owning the Vehicle Attributes budget

This role offers a comprehensive compensation package, including a salary range of $177,000 to $294,000, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights.
