Senior/Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Agent Simulation

Zoox, a pioneering company in the autonomous vehicle industry, is seeking a Senior/Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join their Agent Simulation group. As a key member of the team, you'll be instrumental in developing reliable and validated simulations, leveraging a wealth of real-world driving data and exceptional infrastructure for testing and validating algorithms. Your responsibilities will include researching and implementing state-of-the-art machine learning approaches, finding innovative solutions for agent behaviors and simulation analysis, and proving that machine-learned algorithms outperform heuristics. You'll work with large-scale machine learning infrastructure, analyze the differences between simulated and real-world behaviors, and collaborate cross-functionally with safety and autonomy engineers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Computer Science or a related field, with experience in training and deploying deep learning models. Proficiency in Python, familiarity with C++, and expertise in machine learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow are essential. Strong mathematical skills and experience with production machine learning pipelines are also crucial.
