Description For Senior/Staff Software Engineer - Simulation Infrastructure

Zoox is at the forefront of autonomous vehicle technology, developing a fully autonomous vehicle fleet and its supporting ecosystem. The Simulation Infrastructure team plays a crucial role in Zoox's mission, using simulation to develop driving software, validate safety, and analyze real-world performance.

As a Senior/Staff Software Engineer in Simulation Infrastructure, you'll be working on essential projects that directly impact Zoox's progress towards its goals. The team's mission is to provide the simulation framework and tools for Zoox to rapidly develop hardware and software, and to help answer the critical question: "Is Zoox's robot safe to drive on our cities' streets?"

There are several focus areas within the Simulation Infrastructure team:

  1. Simulation Data Platform: Develop a highly scalable platform using microservices, cloud databases, and message queues.
  2. Simulation Workload Orchestration: Speed up the execution pipeline, improve usability, and enable running at orders of magnitude larger scale.
  3. Web Front-end for Simulation Framework: Develop web front-end interfaces for simulation pipeline and tools.
  4. Simulation Operations: Help deliver new versions of the simulation framework reliably and efficiently.
  5. Scenario Editor: Build a Scenario Editor for creating effective scenarios and unlock the full potential of simulation.

This role offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $190,000 - $285,000, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. Additionally, Zoox provides comprehensive benefits such as paid time off, health insurance, and various insurance options.

Join Zoox if you're passionate about robotics, machine learning, and design, and want to be part of a fast-moving, execution-oriented team that's shaping the future of mobility-as-a-service in urban environments.
